Services: website design, content management system (CMS) development, CiviCRM development/integration, CMS training

The New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA), a not-for-profit organization that provides a forum for the exchange of health-related information, needed its website to serve as a hub that would effectively promote its cause online. We developed NHPA a clean, easy-to-navigate web presence that’s packed with advanced functionality.

Using the site, visitors can join the NHPHA, renew their memberships, donate to the organization and learn about its many activities and initiatives. We equipped the site with CiviCRM, an open-source constituent relationship management (CRM) system that’s geared especially toward nonprofit organizations. Our web development team migrated NHPHA’s user database to the system.

The site – located at www.nhpha.org – features content about proposed legislation NHPHA is monitoring, policy positions, upcoming events, the organization’s leadership, staff members and volunteers. The CRM makes it easy to add and register for new events. We engineered the site using a highly robust and flexible content management system (CMS). The user-friendly platform empowers NHPHA’s staffers to add, remove and modify content internally rather than relying on a third-party agency for updates.

Since the CMS is open-source, it lacks the exorbitant licensing and maintenance fees that proprietary solutions carry. While the CMS is free to use, it offers functionality than many commercial, enterprise-level systems, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars per year in licensing fees alone.

Incorporated in 1992, NHPHA is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides a forum for the exchange of public health information. Its goal is to inform citizens of changes needed in laws and government policies that would benefit the public’s health. Members come from a variety of backgrounds, including behavioral sciences, health education, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, nutrition/food safety, maternal/child health, occupational safety/health, international health and policy making.
