Partners in Amphibian & Reptile Conservation (PARC) Website

Services: website design, content management system (CMS) integration, social media integration, wiki development

The Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving species and their habitats, needed a revamped web presence that it could use to communicate with its supporters and increase awareness of its mission. They needed a website that was world-class and engineered so it could be easily maintained in-house by non-technical personnel.

We equipped the site using a highly user-friendly, yet robust, content management system (CMS) that allows PARC’s members – even those with zero web-editing experience – to easily add, update and remove content without relying on a third-party agency. Since the CMS is open-source, PARC is not required to pay exorbitant licensing and maintenance fees.

Using the site, visitors can learn about PARC’s wide-reaching network, its mission, find the closest regional organization to them, apply to become a member and find interesting information about reptiles and amphibians and their habitats. PARC’s members were highly pleased with the project’s outcome.

Brian D. Todd, a PARC official, said: “I can’t say enough good things about Danconia Media. They were incredibly patient with us and did everything possible to satisfy our web design needs. They were responsive and always quick to integrate concepts and ideas into the design. The ultimate web project they developed for our organization really helps us achieve the professional look our partners and members deserve.”

PARC maintains organizations throughout the United States and has participants in Canada and Mexico. Its members and partners include federal agencies, conservancy organizations, museums, zoos, energy companies, colleges, research laboratories, forest organizations, environmental consultants and nature centers, among others.
