Every year, the Laconia Motorcycle Week in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire attracts tourists from throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. In preparation for its 2010 event, the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association picked Danconia Media to completely overhaul its existing web site to act as an informational and promotional hub. The association required top-notch graphic design, enhanced functionality and the ability to modify the site’s content easily.

The site – located at www.laconiamcweek.com – has myriad features, including a schedule of events, photo galleries, rally news, a memorabilia store and sections highlighting the event’s sponsors and patrons. Visitors can use the site to find lodging information and book hotel or motel reservations in advance. The web design package also came with custom graphic design, basic search engine optimization (SEO), integration of the rally’s Facebook and Twitter profiles, and training on how to use its content management system (CMS) to add, modify and remove content.

The web site got a great response from the rally’s association as well as motorcycle enthusiasts from all over. Jennifer Anderson, director of the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association, said: “When choosing to redesign our site, it was important to find a company that had a local feel with big city ideas and experience.
