BRATTLEBORO, Vt., April 3, 2009 – Danconia Media will be giving a presentation about Web site design and Internet marketing at the Wood Website Success forum Saturday, April 4 at the Marlboro College Graduate Center.
Danconia Media representatives will be informing attendees about the current state of digital and search marketing and how even small businesses can prepare themselves for the future. They will be presenting twice: during the morning session between 9 a.m. and noon and the afternoon session between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. They will be available for one-on-one discussions after the presentations.
The event was planned as a way to educate woodworkers about the complexities of Internet marketing and how they can use new technologies to their advantage. Topics that will be covered during the workshops include web site aesthetics, user-friendliness, search engine optimization, static sites versus content management systems and social media marketing, among many others.
The event is being presented by Vermont WoodNet, the National Network of Forest Practitioners and the Wood Education and Resource Center. The workshops are being funded with a grant from the Wood Education and Resource Center, Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry, Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The event kicked off Friday at 1 p.m. Registration will begin for Saturday’s sessions at 8 a.m.
