DENNISPORT, Mass., Aug. 18, 2011 – Edgewater Beach Resort, located in the heart of Cape Cod, has launched a website developed by Danconia Media, a leading New England design and marketing firm.
The site – located at www.edgewaterresorthoa.org – features pictures of the beachfront resort and information about its amenities, accommodations, local attractions and weather. The website also features a password-protected owner’s center, which gives stakeholders access to an online bill pay system as well as meeting minutes and financial information from the resort’s board and general manager.
Danconia Media designed the site using a highly robust, yet user-friendly, content management system (CMS), which empowers the organization to add, remove and modify content in-house rather than relying on a third-party agency for updates. Since the CMS is open-source, it’s free of the exorbitant licensing and maintenance fees that proprietary solutions carry.
Edgewater, which features more than 400 feet of private beach, is open year-round. The resort has 76 units – studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom – that are outfitted with fireplaces and efficiency kitchens. The resort has indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, a seven-hole putting green and WiFi. Edgewater belongs to Vacation Resorts International.
Dennisport, also called Dennis Port, is considered the cultural center of Cape Cod. Local attractions include the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Cape Playhouse and Cape Cinema, an arthouse movie theater. Visitors enjoy Dennisport for its sight-seeing, fishing, golfing, kayaking and bicycling opportunities, among many other things.
