Strafford Nutrition Meals on Wheels, based in Somersworth, NH, called on Danconia Media to design the nonprofit its first web site. The site highlights information about the organization’s services, eligibility requirements, volunteering opportunities, news, fundraisers and upcoming events. Using the site, visitors can donate money directly to the nonprofit.

The site – located at www.straffordmealsonwheels.org – is equipped with a highly user-friendly content management system (CMS) that the organization uses to add, remove and modify content in-house. Becky Gallant, a Danconia Media project coordinator, made sure the site’s content would be easy for senior citizens with poor vision to read and navigate.

The site, which was donated as part of Danconia Media’s web design grant program for Granite State charities and nonprofits, was highly well-received. Laurie Eastwood, Strafford Nutrition’s nutrition coordinator, said: “It didn’t matter if it was by phone or e-mail, they were there for guidance, building a wonderful site easy for seniors to navigate. With the help of their great staff, we are now able to reach out to people, receive donations online and let them know about our services that they or a family member might need. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to have the pain taken out of creating a great web site.”
